[Single] mihimaru GT with SOFFet - Naki Natsu

mihimaru GT has done it again with the ballad, Naki Natsu! This song follows the same stylings as their amazing single, diverge. But the only difference being this one is so much better. The song opens with beautiful piano chords and a sweeping string arrangement. The music as a whole is so good, I loved this song on the first listen. It’s a mix of very rhythmic and catchy piano, strings, and light percussion. I was actually surprised they left out the disc scratching which is present in almost all their songs. hiroko’s vocals are amazing as usual and she’s able to reach that higher register during the chorus with such ease. Strangely enough, miyake’s rapping compliments the song very well. SOFFet’s part in the song is the same as miyake’s in that they do some good rapping here in there.

The B-side follows the material in their latest album mihimarise, the very catchy and upbeat Koi no Kakuritsu Hendou. The music is pretty constant throughout the song with it’s numerous beats and very upbeat atmosphere. This is like Gazen Yeah! stripped of all brass and a little more reserved. Another aspect of the song I really liked was how hiroko opened the chorus with the hook ”Gyungyun” and “Gangan“, etc.
